Focus on safety

Safety is important when using glass in interiors. Despite the fact that the quality of glass has improved over the years, there are situations where there is a risk of glass and mirrors breaking and causing damage. For example, when people bump into it or if something hard falls on it.

To protect you, we refinish glass and mirrors in different ways to prevent you from getting hurt in the event of an accident. Your safety always comes first.

Safety film

Safety film is a transparent film that is fitted to the back of glass and mirrors. If you are really unlucky and break the glass, the pieces will stick to the film, thus minimizing the risk of injury. Safety film on the back of sliding glass doors is a minimum requirement for your safety.

Tempered glass

Tempered glass is 4-5 times as strong as ordinary glass of the same thickness. This is a safety glass that can withstand extra pressure, moisture, heat and cold. If you are really unlucky enough to break it, this glass does not shatter into sharp pieces, but granulates into small blurred glass grains.

Diamond glass

Diamond glass is a tempered lacquered glass. Tempered glass has been heat-treated to increase its strength – these glasses can withstand high heat and do not break, but only granulate into small pieces. Diamond glass therefore has the same safety as ordinary tempered glass.
